It usually takes 3 years and after graduation you are authorised to pursue the learned profession. In dual apprenticeship, there are two places of learning:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The practical training takes place in a company.<\/li>\n<li>Theoretical instruction takes place at the vocational school.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This combination of theory and practice offers you optimal conditions to get to know all aspects of your chosen profession. This type of training is internationally accepted. You can find more information\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #509993;\"><a style=\"color: #509993;\" href=\"https:\/\/bbs-old.de\/berufsschule\/\">here.<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>As an apprentice, you have to attend vocational school &#8211; there are different options depending on the apprenticeship.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are in vocational school 1-2 times a week and at work for the rest of the week.<\/li>\n<li>You have several weeks of classes at a time and then you are in the company for several weeks at a time. While you are at school, you don&#8217;t have to work at the company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At vocational school, you take various subjects that are relevant to your future occupational field. Your level of knowledge is regularly tested in exams. For this reason, you must have a good knowledge of German.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"cmsmasters_row_m5g4l893xw\" class=\"cmsmasters_row cmsmasters_color_scheme_default cmsmasters_row_top_default cmsmasters_row_bot_default cmsmasters_row_boxed\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_row_outer_parent\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_row_outer\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_row_inner\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_row_margin\">\n<div id=\"cmsmasters_column_cw84dsz1nd\" class=\"cmsmasters_column two_third\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_column_inner\"><div class=\"cmsmasters_text\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As a foreigner, can I do an apprenticeship at all?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>If you live in the <strong>European Union, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland or Norway,<\/strong> you can start an apprenticeship in Germany without legal regulations.
